Let's talk about the definition of intrapersonal communication!


    Intrapersonal communication take places within a person and has their own personal dialogue for the purpose of clarifying ideas. The communication occurs within one’ mind when an individual talks to him or herself.
    There are three aspects for intrapersonal communication such as self-concept, perception and expectation. Self- concept is also known as self-awareness. It is a concept of intrapersonal communication because it determines how a person see him or herself. Three concept of intrapersonal communication namely belief, values and attitude.  Perception is rooted in beliefs, values and attitudes and closely intertwined with self-concept to create better understand oneself and one’s world. Expectations are future orientated message dealing with long term occurrence.
     Intrapersonal communication involve different levels of communication activity include internal discourse, solo vocal communication and solo written communication. Internal discourse includes thinking and analysis. Daydreaming, prayer and meditation are belong to this category. Talking to yourself is an example solo vocal communication. This may be done to clarify thinking or rehearsing when you are talking to yourselves. Solo-written communication is deals with writing for oneself and not intended for others.
