Communication is the way to interact with each others in order to send our messages, ideas, thoughts or information with the commonality among the sender and the recipient.

A communication is considered as effective if the recipient is able to understand, make interpretation and give feedbacks after received the message.  

Here is an example of how an effective communication can be achieved.

DEFINITION OF COMMUNICATION

WHAT IS COMMUNICATION??

Being asked about what is communication really confused us because we never really thought about it. In our mind was (communication=conversation=people talking). But the question really made us thought thoroughly about communication especially among us human. 

Among the definitions from Wikipedia, Hybels and Weaver, Julian Woods and Devito, our group finalised with the same wavelength, agreed to Hybels and Weaver's definition of communication. They defined communication in a specific way where they explain communication through physical and mental aspects. More specifically, they manage to break down communication into different views such as info and beliefs, ideas, feelings, plans and problems. They also included that the information can be exchanged impersonally, in a team, small groups and through a media.

Thus, generally, communication involves message-conveying through various medias such as gestures, body languages, signals, speech, texts and mass media.

For our definition of communication, we divide it into two different groups.

ONE-WAY-COMMUNICATION

• Involves only a sender and message with recipient but without feedback.
• Considered as ineffective communication.
• The info, is delivered but may or may not be understood.

TWO-WAY-COMMUNICATION

• Involves a sender, message and recipient with feedback.
• It is an effective communication.
• The sender knows whether the recipient receives the message or not.

So, I am Najihah binti Wahab,the leader of this group...Muehehe.. our group consists of five cute, nice, elegant and gorgeous members which are  Ain, Wawa, Nisa,  Yana and Me. To be more specific, Ain and I are studying Food Technology while the other three are in Mathematics field. 

We were extremely excited when our gorgeous lecturer said that we are going to use the google drive, blog, tab, laptop and  many other latest high-tech devices to access the internet in class . Its pretty cool, right? I mean that is how students in university should learn instead of sitting and listening to the lectures for hours without doing any interesting activities that can steal students' attention. To be honest, we were somehow surprised when she asked to bring the laptop during the P&P.

Our lecturer for this course is a super duper stylish and somewhat can also be awarded as the most fabulous lady of the day, Miss Fazita Binti Hj.Md.Tab. To bear in mind, she is very sensitive about her father's name (well to be honest, I think most of the people do) . She said that : " I've been living in this world for 37 years, how come I spell my father's name wrongly. Its not Taib but Tab".  

She reminded us to spell it right. 

The class rules were awesome and this is the first time we hear this kind of rules. Apparently it wasn't about discipline or those stuff at all, but more to how we are supposed to prepare ourselves in a way that can ensure a comfort and excellent condition for us to learn in class.  One of them is we have to smell good and wearing clothes that cannot be seen through or simply to say, transparent.  

We just love the marvelous accent she has, the way she treated us and of course her smart idea to create this blog definitely is enjoyable!

Our Inspiration

This book belongs to Ain. She brought this book during the first meeting of Effective Communication lectures. When we were asked to give a name for our group, we totally had no idea at first but finally decided to name it PORORO. Muahhhhhhahahaahahhaaha

So now, let me introduce the group members~~

The first member is definitely ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our fabulous group consists of 5 gorgeous group members with different characteristics, races, backgrounds, hometowns and personalities( which picture below speaks for us OBVIOUSLY )  

  

Hui Peng : A Malacca girl named Hui Peng a.k.a Angela. She looks very calm, tidy, clean, tall and smart! She scored the highest marks for most of the courses in last semester, but she is definitely not a nerd. She followed most of the newest popular Korean dramas and I remember she watched them even during the night before final exam! I was like: Why am I still studying non-stop, almost getting insane, but she can have time to watch dramas?! What can I say? It’s the difference between a smart and a not-so-smart student. HAHA. Besides, she is always the one who wakes me up in the morning when my bedmate and I have been snoozing our alarm clock for too many times! In short, she is very nice, kind and soft-hearted. A very great pal to have . # WeiTheng

 

Wei Theng : A kind, lovely and humble Kedah girl with the sweetest smile I have ever seen. I love to see her taking lots of pictures with a big grin on her face showing her white, nicely-arranged teeth. (Obviously, I don’t have a good smile). She is a pretty girl, but without fancy clothes or anything to adorn her, she is just pretty in her own way. I think many friends would say the same thing about her. She is simply pretty. I remember how she was a sight to behold when we all attended a Christmas party last year where everyone was dressed to kill. She was invited to dance for don’t-know-how-many-times-already. Besides that, to me, she is not a demanding girl, she seems pretty satisfied with everything around her and lives every second of her life to the fullest. She takes things that come so peacefully and calmly. I guess life would be much happier if I can be like that. #Siew

Alyani : A hyperactive, playful and talkative girl. She is the tallest girl in the class, yet she loves to wear high heels.  She also loves to wear fancy clothes. It’s interesting to see her wearing different baju kurung, tudung and shoes to class everyday. This explains why her wardrobe is so full of clothes and her shoes rack has more than 7 pairs of shoes! Believe it or not, I’m not exaggerating. Anyway, she is quite a daring girl because she has no fear in delivering her ideas in front of the class. It’s good to have her as our classmates because she can make our monotonous and dull class becomes very lively.# Maithly

Siew : A leader and our class representative. A very talkative, bossy, domineering and a busybody to the extent of interfering other people’s matters girl. My first impression was when she volunteered to become our class representative with her over-confident face held up high in the air. But, she was never a nuisance. What I see in her through a few months of friendship, is a kind and cheerful girl who blooms her generous smile making people around her can be so comfortably interacting with her. Not to forget, she is daring enough to take up the responsibility I’m always too timid to carry. # Alyani

Maithly : A 20-years-old girl from Perak. She is tall and thin with long curly hair and a sweet smiling face. Although she wears spectacles, her big round eyes can still be obviously seen. She is kind and very friendly to everybody and this explains why she has a lot of friends surrounding her. She has many hobbies and she loves dancing and singing the most, especially Tamil songs. She also loves reading and learning besides enjoying life through her daily entertainment. # HuiPeng
